Five years ago you suggested our son consider applying to Roosevelt University because you thought that he’d find in Nancy Litke and her Academic Success Center the kind of support in college for which he was looking. We’re now a few days away from Ben’s graduation, and we’re writing to thank you for that and to let you know how on target you were in your recommendation. We’ve thought of you many times during these past four years, always with great appreciation for your so well hearing Dan’s needs and desires, and for your leading him to Roosevelt and Nancy. We can’t thank you enough.
Ben has thrived at Roosevelt under Nancy’s academic tutoring and overall support. Even this past year with her no longer being at the college, Nancy has continued to meet with Ben, supporting him as he made his way through his senior honors thesis and presentation, among other things. Dan has enjoyed his time at RU; has worked these past two years as an RA and then an RA coordinator; and this weekend will graduate with his degree in criminal justice, with a minor in political science. He has loved living in Chicago and will be staying there after graduation. (He is looking for a job in emergency services management, and in the meantime has a part-time job with the Cubs organization in their security department.)
So as you can see, we are deeply indebted to you for your fine advice.
